The Founder
Founder & Producer · producer of Hellaro, National Award, Best Feature Film.
Recognised in New Delhi
Ashish Patel and the Hellaro team, felicitated in New Delhi after the film became the first Gujarati feature to win the National Award for Best Feature Film.
"We proved a Gujarati story could win the nation's highest honour. Saarthi is where that conviction goes to work — in service of others."
Ashish Patel produced Hellaro — the first Gujarati film to win the National Award for Best Feature Film. Making it taught him something simple: Gujarat has all the talent and all the stories it will ever need, and that talent deserves more support to do its best work at home.
He was also one of the producers of Vickida No Varghodo (2022) — among Gujarati cinema's most-loved theatrical comedies — alongside Sharad Patel and a wider producing team.
Saarthi is his way of giving that support back. Not to lead the industry, but to serve it — a place where the talent he saw on Hellaro has more room to grow, and where fewer of our stories have to leave Gujarat to be finished.
It is the role he has chosen for this chapter — to hold the reins, and let others take the bow.
That conviction is now the studio he is building in Ahmedabad — film production, advertising and brand films, music videos, post, VFX and animation — and the films it exists to make.
